yesterday i donated my hair to locks of love. i had been toying with the idea for a while, but finally my sisters convinced me on christmas that i should. i figured that it's time for a change and it's going to a good cause, so why not? i like the new look...it's cute and easy to manage. i've been told i look "hotter" and "more professional" (from my bf and his friend, respectively)
i've been thinking about the past year (i know, generic) and, instead of (or in addition to, if i get around to it) filling out one of those surveys about the past year, i thought i'd try to sum it up. reflection time!
january...started dating jason...that's the only big thing, i think. oh and my new years was fun because beth came over and we had ourselves a little party in the dollhouse. :D
february...quit petland, visited jason for valentines day in austin, found out about a previous boyfriend's infidelity, started my job at bryden's, and grandpa died :(
march, april, may...ummm...can't really think of anything that jumped out at me
june...went to a wonderful wedding with jason and got dumped three days later...i was pretty upset for a while, and had to figure out what to do as far as a job and a place to live (since i had already told both my work and roomie that i was moving to texas)
july...had a turn-around on my birthday when i realized a lot of people in my life really cared for me (i had gotten a ton of phone calls and messages)...josie took me out to eat at an amazing japanese restaurant in rockford and made me feel great! and, as cheesy as it sounds, i saw 2 rainbows side-by-side against a dark sky and took it as a sign that things were gonna be alright. and they were! i decided to move to madison with jessica and i went apartment searching near the end of july.
august...made my big move to madison, where i was "almost, kind of" dating tony. on the 30th, i was hired through adecco at a construction company to do receptionist work. i also was "official" with tony that day. :D
september...everything went alright, i think. although jason got upset that i found someone so quickly and stopped talking to me. i worried about him a lot...and still do sometimes. :(
october...i got a violent flu, had to leave work for a couple days...was sober on halloween (because i was just getting over my sickness)....
november...tony's mom's wedding on the 9th. had fun, but drank way to much and got sick (oy)...vowed not to drink that much again. it's worked so far...i think i've only been drunk once since then, but not to the point of being sick. i think tony told me he loved me for the first time in november too. :D
december...lived through many huge snow storms (although i got stuck in my driveway like 5 times...including one time when i was trying to go to work...oy), great christmas, got my hair cut yesterday, and i seem to be doing well...except for the fact that i got sick yesterday and am trying to get over it today.
sheesh! a lot of my year included sickness! ha...well...maybe 2008 will prove to be better!
