since the hayloft in the old barn caved in a few years ago (ok, maybe 5+ years), my dad seems to have a plethora of barn boards. they have a nice rustic look to them (probably because they are rustic?).
anyway, as part of the crafting for the fur and feather swap, i decided to make a couple of signs to sell. i saw a metal sign with at world market with the chicken theme, so it inspired me to make this:
ok, i'm not gonna lie....i made my sign very similar to it. but i'm not claiming that i came up with the idea! if it doesn't sell, i'm definitely going to keep it. ;)
i also made this sign (which i didn't like as much, but oh well!):
that one can go to my parents if it doesn't sell. haha
i have one more to do, and was thinking of doing another "rise and shine" one, or a "let's talk turkey" one with a turkey silhouette. these barn boards are rough, so i have to keep it simple. suggestions?

the turkey one would be pretty neat, I think. I love the signs, though. Lucky you to have access to such great barn wood!
I would love for you to check out my site for a spring block giveaway! Have a great day!

Actually, my favorite is the second one. I could see someone buying it who doesn't live anywhere near on a farm, but who feels their family sometimes behaves like animals!
what a great idea! They look amazing :)
thanks, guys!
most of the potential customers have a farming background, but that's a good point! (we're having a little booth at a swap where farmers sell their poultry, rabbits, etc and animal-related things to each other)
I loved it! Thanks for sharing!

Please accept my invitation to drop in at my place one day this week when you get a moment. I have become a follower and hope that you will do the same. until later...
Great job on the signs!
Stop over at my place, I am partying with you tonight.
I am jealous you have those barn boards. I love the rise and shine - the farm is cute too, but the rise and shine speaks to me...I saw someplace today something painted on rough wood...like "Home" in different style letters and colors.
I call me kids turkey 1 and turkey 2 (or turkey little and turkey big)...I would totally buy a turkey sign from you.
ta da!... NOW I'm following! Thanks again for letting me know that I forgot to actually do this earlier today! I'm not dangerous! ...just throw pills at me and I'm just fine! weeeeeee!
until later....
