update!

ok, yes, it's been a while since my last post. in my defense, it's been crazy the past couple of weeks! (in a mostly good way, i promise!)


a few updates:
those barn board signs i featured in my last post, and those chicken candles from a little while ago? didn't sell.  i was pretty disappointed, but then realized that i can keep my sign (i like the rise and shine one a lot!), and i have a few friends who wanted to by my candles anyway. so it all worked out. one of my sister's coworkers included some "chicken hats" to the booth (crocheted hats with a rooster's comb on top), and they were the only thing that sold.  apparently they're really popular!  she offered to make me one, so i requested one with black and white variegated yarn....because i'm a dork and would like it to look like a specific breed. haha.


in other news, i'm still working 50+ hours a week. it would be 50 this week, but at my fulltime job, they requested i work overtime.  i'm thinking that if this becomes a habit, i will have to kick my retail job to the side because it will make me insane! and, i also have a business on the side, so i'd like to dedicate more my time to that.


and the latest news is that tony and i signed a lease to a new apartment!  two bedroom, 1.75 baths, laundry, private patio, walk through closet, etc....and the most exciting part is that the management agreed to take out the carpeting and add hardwood floors! woot!  i'm excited for a change of pace, and more room for all of our stuff! i'm already thinking of ways to decorate the walls of the new place....i'm going to use the decal i won, my barn boards with mirror designs, my world market painting, some other cool paintings i haven't displayed yet, and a couple tapestries. our lease officially begins june 1st, but we have our first month free and our current lease ends on the 30th....so we'll have a nice, leisurely move. :)
