porcelain? or paste-y?

i've received many compliments lately on my complexion. apparently, my friends like the very-light-skin-with-dark-features look. one guy friend even told me i was like a vampire. "i mean that in a good way!", he said. i guess that with all the vampire movies out, that's more popular? i dunno.

is paste-y white skin becoming more of a trend?  i know that nicole kidman pulled it off really well in moulin rouge, and that some guys swoon over anne hathaway, but what about every day people? during the summer, all i hear about is people wanting to get tan. i got a slight burn this summer, but that quickly faded back to whiteness.

my friend, shefali, is indian and has fairly dark skin.  she once told me that when she goes to india, people are disappointed that she doesn't have lighter skin. i guess that is more popular there.

is this just a case of everyone trying to look different than how they naturally do? or are people starting to embrace their skin?

all i know is that i should be part of the pale force! :)

(just look at that glow!)

I've always been attracted more to the caucasian... Not necessarily paste-y but moderate tone... But all-in-all it depends on how the person presents themselves... Gods! Now I sound racist! LMFAO! Talk o ya soon hun! Give Tony a big Hi for me!

haha, i was talking more about trends than levels of attractiveness.

(don't worry, i know you're not racist!)
